Sudoku
was invented in the 20
th
century in Japan, but it became well-known there in the 1980`s. The
name of the game means “placement puzzle”, and sudoku is the
Japanese word for it. There was also something similar to sudoku in
the United States during the same time. The famous puzzle maker
Howard Garnes, invented something which can be comparable to it.
After some time it became as an option of sudoku and was known under
the name ‘number place’.

Solving
sudoku puzzles is not such an easy job to be done. So you need to
focus your mind and use all your logical skills in order to learn how
to play it. After that it could be a lot of fun for you. There are
three main processes which are used in combination during the solving
of one sudoku puzzle. They can be summarized as scanning, marking up
solutions and analyzing. If you can invent your own strategy or
follow the ones that are shown to you, the result will be one solved
puzzle, while having fun during solving it, and the best is the
feeling that you have successfully won the game.

If you
are a beginner, the best way to start is
to
play it step by step. You can start with scanning one row or one
column. Of course there are some numbers already given, so you can
start from the place where you have the most numbers. One thing leads
to another, so you can quickly find what the nine numbers in the
column are, or in the row which you have chosen. After that you can
check the 3x3 matrix where now you have more numbers. In such a way,
step by step you can guess what the other missing numbers in the rest
of the matrixes are.

You have to
know that it is not fun trying to remember what the possibilities for
the missing numbers are. That is why you can use the upper or the
down corner of one square where you can write down what you are
thinking. That is how you can calculate different variants and find
out which one the best fits, without having all these numbers only in
your head.

And if
you really want to master this kind of game, you need to practice
sudoku again and again. Just like everything else, you can learn it
and become better with practicing it.
That
is one really exciting game, so for sure you will like the
experience.
